Effectiveness Bleaching of Waste Cooking Oil Cleaning Using Nano-Montmorillonite Adsorbent

Abstract: Waste cooking oil contains carcinogenic compounds which are formed during the frying process. The content change makes it is not worth for reuse oil. One of damages to caused by heating. quality useable refers SNI 01-3741-2013. sample used in this research waste that 5 times frying. can be improved using Nano-Montmorillonite adsorbent. results PSA and FTIR characterization show has a nano-scale particle size 15.3 nm with percentage 6%. rest particles have size> 100 total 94% respective 383.9 59% 6647.1 35% functional groups, namely hydroxyl (-OH), Si-O-Si Al-Al-OH. Testing includes organoleptic, acid numbers, peroxide saponification numbers Nano-Montmorillonite. Based on results, more adsorbent was added, lower acid, peroxide, better flavor color. analysis, improve oil.Abstrak: Minyak jelantah mengandung senyawa yang bersifat karsinogenik terbentuk selama proses penggorengan. Perubahan sifat ini menjadikan minyak goreng tersebut tidak layak digunakan kembali sebagai bahan makanan. Salah satu kerusakan pada disebabkan oleh pemanasan. Kualitas pakai merujuk Sampel dalam penelitian adalah dengan kali dapat ditingkatkan menggunakan adsorben Nano-Montmorillonit. Berdasarkan hasil karakterisasi dan menunjukkan bahwa Nano-Montmorillonit memiliki ukuran partikel berskala nano yaitu 15,3 persentase sebesar 6% sisanya merupakan > masing-masing 383,9 6647,1 35%serta gugus-gugus fungsional hidroksil Pengujian kualitas meliputi organoleptik, bilangan asam, peroksida penyabunan pengujian maka semakin banyak jumlah Nano-Montmorilonit ditambahkan peroksida, mengalami penurunan serta aroma warna menjadi lebih baik. analisis meningkatkan jelantah.
